These
Times and Regions aim to make the reading of the Centuries easier for the English speaking
people, while basing the analysis on the French original text. Some 2163 of
the strangest old French and made up words are defined and translated. The definitions can be
checked by simply clicking on the quatrain (long definition) or, even
simpler, by rolling the mouse over the word (short definition). Also, all the quatrains that contain the
word under investigation can be recalled to the screen in order to cross check its meaning all through the masterpiece. This is particularly useful when a word has several possible meanings. The verses are
presented in English with the original French along next to it.
Downloads
The Centuries can be downloaded from the Nostradamia Library. Also, a
study precisely determines which of the French versions available on the
Web is the most reliable and links are proposed. Decoding tools will come
later; They will be available for the Nostradamia Senators. A Senator
is a Citizen who has posted an article or had a period of activity in
the forums.
HOW THE DICTIONARY WORKS
To consult the dictionary, it is required to be a Citizen. This simply
means to first register in the forum. It then also becomes possible to
post a definition that is more satisfying than the proposed one.
