Nostradamus saw at least four nuclear explosions: Switzerland,
Israel, Adriatic Sea and the US. But in America, it could be many bombs.
Washington, New York and Los Angeles are tangible and certain objectives.
But there could also be a major blast in Utah and another one in the Southwest,
maybe because some long-range missiles and many soldiers are posted there.
In France, huge fires will devastate the country.

It seems as if
Nostradamus announced a world war shortly following the beginning of the second
millennium.Explosion at Lake Geneva* (*The lake is situated on the Swiss-French
border where the G8 summit took place in summer 2003. The banks are inhabited
by rich Saoudians and many international summits take place there. Europeans
refers to the lake as "Lac Leman".)Over ten quatrains deal with the Geneva incident, and an
analysis gives a clear idea of what's going to happen. The attack at Geneva
will start the hostilities. The fact that it is a nuclear bomb is practically
certain because its lightning will be seen from the city of Lyon which is
75 miles away. The following quatrain VIII-06 has been one of the most quarreled
by interprets and translators. Nevertheless, a common understanding is that
it refers to an atomic flash. The US army veteran medium Dolores Cannon
adds that "Sardon" means "Saddam"*.

for a French leader]. |
Comments over the French original text :
Sardon means Gardon that is an anagram for dragon as it
was demonstrated in the quatrain X-06 where the word refers to floods between
Toulouse, Nîmes and Ales (refer to the article "Trajanus and
Apocalypse" at the chapter "Links with the City of Nîmes"). Floods would
be the consequence of the atomic explosion on the dam.
Mauris is most certainly an anagram for Marius, the cruel
Roman consul and war leader who defeated the Teutones, Cimbris and Ambrones
from BC 112 to 102 in the Alps at Verceil, which is not far from Geneva.
According to the Roman historian Plutarque, well over 1 million soldiers
were engaged into the battles that caused several hundred thousand casualties
within days. These battles have been the first human slaughters, even more
cruel than the Napoleon, 1914-1918 and US civil wars. Nostradamus sees Marius
as a character of importance and he dedicates 6 quatrains to his achievements
(III-07, III-08, V-057, V-058, VIII-06, VIII-07)."The cruel war leader will call it deceiving" because his
objectives will not be attained since the number of casualties will not
match to his expectations. Islamic terrorists have a strategic objective
of human slaughter and elimination of occidental political leaders. Considering
this, they will feel deceived. The explosion will be less devastating than
hoped for, maybe because destiny will have been changed by the prophecy
revealed by God to humans. And this may just save humans from total destruction.
The most difficult term to understand is "Print Malte" and
many hypotheses are proposed by different interprets. Some say that the
Prince of Malt is the King of Spain. Others state that this little Republic
of the Mediterranean Sea will be attacked. But none are satisfying. Back
in the times when Nostradamus wrote the Centuries, Island of Malt was part
of the Kingdom of Venice. And during Marius, it was Sicilian. Later Cesar
annexed it. In the midst of the crusades, it became a home for the Hospitalians,
a military papal order. And recently, Malt has joined the European Union.
But this overview does not reveal the link with the great conflict events.
It is not even sure that Nostradamus refers to Malt and its history since
it can be an anagram or a typographical error.The following quatrain also belongs to the 3 Centuries dedicated
to the Great Future Ruler. Its meaning is quite clear and no intense deliberation
is required:

[and interpretation]:
Migrate, migrate out of Geneva everyone [Get out of Geneva everyone]
The sky will change from gold to steel [Chemical War will be declared]
The "contre Raypoz" [Anti-Christ] will exterminate everyone,
Before the event [day of advent] the sky will show signs. |
Comments:The only real difficulty is to grasp the meaning of Raypoz,
but it does not prohibit from understanding the rest of the quatrain. Nostradamus
often made use of Latin terms, Southern French dialects, anagrams, typographical
approximations, deliberately strange orthography and invented words. All
of these possibilities explain how the word "Raypax" or "Raypaz" could have
become "Raypoz". "Ray" in old French means "light" just like in English
(the reference is the 1rst dictionary of the French language, 1609-Nicot).
"Pax" means peace (same reference). Confusion could have taken place if
the "x" was handwritten with a crutch that made it look like a z.Other explanations can be found. "Paz" means "peace" in Spanish,
and it is "pau" in Catalan, which pronounces "po". Nostradamus could have
mixed the two words together. It is also possible that the old French Provencal
dialect held a similar word, maybe simply "poz". All in all, the meaning
of "Ray-poz" is "light and peace" and it stands for "Christ". Also, the
word "contre" means "anti", so "Contre Raypoz" would be the "antichrist". The 16th Century definition of an anti-Christ
is a person who persecutes the clergy, the church and its believers. It is
also a blood thirsty criminal. All of this represents the Bin Laden gang objectives
while the quatrain refers to our times.Nostradamus may have thought that his first explanations
were not sufficient. The next set of verses was written at the end of his
life in a last Century numbered 12. The facts are identical to those just
discussed. They are also meant to be brought to the Great Ruler's attention:

The original French text is quite clear, but in English
an interpretation should be given along with the translation in order to
insist on the different puns:XII-069 interpretation:
God's followers, keep
away from Lake Geneva,
The heads of states fortify
there to hold their summit,
one will leave the talks,
there will be great confusion,
Far from the new year
wishes period, fire and death will strike from the great Supelman [Muslim],
The leaders and their
entire suite.
Comments concerning the French
original text :Eiovas stands for Jeova (Yave) - the "j" was written
"i" in the 16th century. The easy to detect inversion of "e" and
"i" is meant to indicate that the quatrain contains puns and anagrams."Supelman" transforms into "Pesulman" which in turn stands
for Musulman (means Muslim). "Grand" (great) designates a political leader.
The use of the capital letter confirms the fact that it is a personality.
Another way to solve this anagram would be to give to the word "Supelman"
the meaning of "sup Leman" which points to the superior part of the lake
where the cities of Evian and Lausanne stand face to face. It would be the
place for the missile shooting and the explosion.Through the Nostradamus writings, God insistently warns his
faithful believers to keep away from the place of detonation. They should
also tell their relatives and friends to stay far from there.
Naturally,
a huge number of skeptical individuals will remain deaf to the warning and
will experience the flames of wrath.Someone at the G8 summit could want to double-cross everyone
else and it could be one of the 8 heads of states. If this intuitive reading
of the quatrain turns out to be true, one will leave the table of talks
before the total destruction of the place and its surroundings. It also
seems that the others will bear some suspicions of this. July 2003 will
mark the start of World War 3 which could be the first and only conflict
that mankind will learn and remember a lesson from. Will anyone survive?An atomic explosion, even a small 1 kiloton one, would not
only confine the danger to the city of Protestantism origins. Lausanne,
which is less than 10 miles away from Geneva, will also be affected:

Comments:If the Swiss government suspected the least bit of a possibility
of a nuclear attack on its soil, there is no doubt that it would evacuate
all the surrounding cities, possibly under an alleged reason of pollution
in order not to terrify the populations. It is also conceivable that it
would expulse foreigners even though they were "strangers to the facts". Nostradamus makes no other mention of any survivors. But
it is conceivable that his warnings will be heard and that many will be
saved. Yet, the worst is to come after the war begins:

L'horrible guerre qu'en Occident s'appreste,

The year following the beginning of the war, a plague will
spread. It could be the result of the degraded sanitary conditions or the
use of biological weaponry. War in GreeceQuickly following the explosion, the old Greek and Turkish
conflict will start again and no one will be able to stop the fights until
all strength and energy runs out:

Flambeau ardent au ciel soir sera veu

Bright torch will be seen in the evening sky
Close to the Rosne end and principle: (The Rhone river flows through
Lake Geneva)
Hunger, sword: emergency help late to come,
Persia turns to invade Macedonia. |
Comments concerning the French original text :The "bright torch" refers to the sparkle to be observed
from Lyon. The Rhone principle represents its start. Close to the start
and to the end at the same time points to Lake Geneva where the Rhone ends
at its entrance and starts again on ending.Following the explosion, Persia will invade Greece. In the
times of Marius, Persia extended to Turkey, which constituted its main territory.
Macedonia faces Turkey in eastern Greece and never designated another place
in the past 2100 years. The Turkish appetite for Greek territories was thought
to be over, but Nostradamus states that this will not be the case. Invasion
will be made possible because of the allies' procrastination, which may
be explained by the huge domestic problems to face after the earthquakes
predicted for April and May (see article "signs before advent" on this website).
Moreover, the Iraqi war outcome may be another reason. Many local conflicts
can be expected after the initial blast.Disasters in FranceThere will
be huge fires in the south of France:

At fourty eight of lattitude,
At the end of cancer such a big drought:
Fish in sea, river : lake burned hectic,
Bearn, Bigorre through fire sky in distress. |
( Bearn and Bigorre are French regions)
A huge fire shortly following July 15 in the midst of times
of drought will ravage the entire South of France. The lake, which is burned
hectic, most probably refers to Lake Geneva. The following verses could have belonged to any fire, but
they logically complete quatrain XII-69 and there is no XII-70. Nostradamus
often assembles important related quatrains in pairs to be read in a chronological
order like the 3 above listed that concern Marius:
XII-071
Fleuues, riuieres de mal seront obstacles,
La vielle flame d'ire non appaisée:
Courir en France. cecy comme d'oracles,
Maisons, manoirs, Palais, secte rasée. |

Large and small rivers will bar the harm,
The old flame of wrath won't be appeased:
Running through France, [inextinguishable] like the flame of oracles,
All buildings will be destroyed: Houses, manors, palaces and churches. |
Comments concerning the French original text :The inferno is a consequence of the atomic blast to take
place on Lake Geneva. It will spread and consume everything over unending
distances, just slowed down by rivers and water points on its way. During
the winter, the progression could have been stopped, but since it is summer,
the furnace keeps on destroying like nothing ever did before in French history.USA and Israel involvementThe US will be affected, and its
role will not confined to the war:

Comments concerning the French original text :The Reb kings (Rebecca mother of Isaac) are Jewish. Israel
is at the center of the generalized conflict, as one would expect. The prophet
explains that the Jewish head of state is pushing the countries into the
war. Since Nostradamus was Jewish, he should not be accused of any form
of anti-Semitism. Scotland's role will certainly
be clarified later, eventually around the 13th of February, which
is a key date in the Centuries. It seems that the Scottish parliament will
dissent with England and that America will play a key role in the crisis
by freezing its relations with Scotland.But the most spectacular quatrain of all concerns the Great
City of New York, which will perish within one instant:
06-97
Cinq & quarante degrez ciel bruslera

06-97 Translation:
Forty five degrees the sky will burn
Fire approaching of the great new city
Instant unfolding big flame will blast
When the Normans will be dared [tested]. |
The term "Norman", means two different things in the Centuries.
When spelled with a "d", it refers to the French Western region of Normandy.
But here, it has nothing to do with it. "Norman" with no "d' designates
North-America. The shortcut means "North Man", the good ole' friend of France
"Norman" symbolizing the USA. The spelling is anglicized.In the 1980s, Jean de Fontbrune, who is an important Nostradamus
interpreter, thought that this quatrain had to do with Geneva. But Geneva
means "Young City" (jeune) and not "New City". It is easy to demonstrate
that the prophet explicitly names Geneva when he refers to it - as in quatrains
II-064, IV-009, IV-042, IV-059, VII-004, VIII-006 and IX-044. Moreover,
Geneva stands at a latitude of 46.5°, and not 45. In general, the cities
that have mysterious names are those of the new world (obese city for Mexico,
crazy city for Los Angeles .and so on.). It is difficult to imagine how the prophet could have been
more precise since New York did not even exist back in 1555. It was baptized
in 1664 well over one century after Nostradamus departed from earth. Before
then, New York was New Amsterdam. This quatrain reverts a huge importance
for the world's future, so the prophet made sure that it could be understood
and situated.There's no doubt on the identification of the city.
The latitude of 45 degrees corresponds to New York while there is no other
place on the globe at this latitude that can logically bear the name of "Great
New City". When people are asked what they think corresponds to "Great New
City", unknowingly of its latitude and of any prophecy, they spontaneously
answer New York.Revelations 14.8 (King James)
And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen,
that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath
of her fornication. This is a good reason to believe that New York is one of
the several Babylon in The Bible. It is sorry news for the good Christians
that built America, but everything points to the fact that the planet will
soon be beheaded of its lighthouse! Nevertheless, Paris with an international
reputation of loose morality should feel concerned too. But also, ancient
Babylon was situated near Baghdad, which will certainly be destroyed too.

Her conviction is that the colossus represents the Pentagon.
So let's consider this anagram from the first verse:
Drag on USA men UTAH is not bordered

bordered
This interpretation aims to bring attention on the great
dangers facing the USA. But also, it means that a growing part of the world
is starting to think that America, known until now as the place of all virtues
and hopes, is being taken over by the one and only dragon of war that will
devastate all of humanity:

And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten
