LOIN is written in uppercase letters, and although it translates into "FAR", it probably is an anagram. A few words fit : Lion, Noil (devil) and Far.

Note: Aquilon means "wind from the sea" and not wind from the North as is too often contended; It would mean, for Nostradamus who resided in France, Americans or another nation that came from sea. Link with the Normans (North Americans no d). One quatrain seems to indicate that it is India.
