Nostradamus visions of
The Times and Places for Doomsday
- Crossed with a Bible Interpretation -
Quatrains IX-44, V-98, Letter to Henry 43 and a few others reveal that signs
will show before doomsday. Many prophets make this type of statement and their
predictions are not dissimilar to the Centuries. But Nostradamus adds some
very precise details. Important floods will precede a long period of drought
in Europe. An earthquake will devastate the Mediterranean Sea. Two significant
archeological discoveries will take place in Rome. A new religion will be
founded (this may not be an immediately visible sign). And a pope will be
nominated at the time of the shaking. This combination of events concentrated
in a few months period will announce the big conflict.
For the record, the worst floods ever took
place in Europe during the year 2002 in Italy, Germany, Belgium and France.
England had it in 2001. So, there would be a possibility for the events to
take place this year or the next.
The signs in the sky
IX-044
Auant l'aduent le ciel signes fera.
Translation
Before the advent [event] the sky will have
[make] signs.
Lettre à César 043 :
aussi auant telles & apres inundations, en plusieurs
contrées les pluies seront si exigues, & tombera du ciel si grande abondance
de feu, & de pierres candentes, que ni demourra rien qu'il ne soit consummé
& ceci aduenir, & en brief, & auant la derniere conflagration.
Translation [interpretation]
so, before and after such floods, in several
regions, rain will be so scarce, & will fall from sky such abundant
amounts of fire, & burning stones, that there will be nothing left that's
not reduced to ashes & this happening, & shortly, & before the
last blast [conflagration]..
The "Red Sky" Apache Indian Starking Wolf
prophecy (1920) is quite specific concerning the signs in the sky:
"For a whole week, the evening skies
will be deep red with no discontinuity nor variations.. And even at night
the stars will be tinted red.. And this will be the third sign."

July is the most likely month of the year
for red skies in Geneva. It could result from some type of pollution or an
astronomical phenomena. But the Apache's description potentially only concerns
the Southwest US since an atomic explosion is expected there shortly after
Geneva.
In the Bible, Christ also announced signs
in the sky. Luke seemed to expect them before the catastrophe, while Mathew
and Mark predicted them to come during and after. The most worrying events
concern the Middle East:
New Testament - Luke chapter 21(King James)
25:
And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars;
and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the
waves roaring;
26: Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those
things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be
shaken.
New Testament - Mathew chapter 24 (same as
Marc chapter 13)
29:
Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened,
and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven,
and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30:
And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall
all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming
in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
The sky darkens as a result of a volcanic
cloud. The seismic activity predicted by Nostradamus for the end of April
and beginning of May is expected to extend from the Middle East to Southern
France. A tidal wave in the middle of a period of drought causes a huge flood.
The quakes precede the nuclear attack. The sky also beholds a mystical connotation.
The coming of the Son of Man, Christ, could mean that the predicted events,
when they happen, will excite a Christian religious fervor.
Saint John's revelations are similar to Mathew's
and Mark's as he mixes all these types of catastrophes and mystical undertone
in the same sentence:
Revelations 16.18 (King James)
18:
And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great
earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake,
and so great.
Is the G8 involved?
Revelations leave only a small doubt on the
fact that the G7, recently increased to 8, will be one of the two actors of
the day of reckoning. The events would be imminent because the 8 will naturally
become 9 shortly.
St-John Revelations, chapter 17 (King James)
9:
And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains,
on which the woman sitteth.
10:
And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is
not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.
11:
And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the
seven, and goeth into perdition.
12:
And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no
kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.
13:
These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.
14:
These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for
he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called,
and chosen, and faithful.
15:
And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth,
are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.
16:
And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the
whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and
burn her with fire.

For God hath put in their hearts to fulfill his will, and to agree, and
give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.
18:
And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over
the kings of the earth.
1) Text clarification
Historically, the seven-hills city is Rome,
also known as the Christian nucleus. Some people contend that the symbol stands
for Atlanta, but it would seem out of context here.
A king is a head of state that rules over
a country (but is it really necessary to remind this?) The seven heads are
seven heads of states, writes John. And the ten horns represent ten more while
the "beast" is still another one. It comes from the group of seven and joins
forces with the ten (Nostradamus says it is "one plus nine"). This gives them
power during one hour, which is a short time - a short-lived alliance. Made
stronger, the ten engage into a war against the seven.
They will also fight the Lamb, which could
represent Israel and / or a world ruler. He will win and lead all nations
with a mighty strength of mind. Note that the Nostradamus hinted Future Universal
Ruler will also conduct all nations through and following the major planetary
conflict.
As for the woman, it is a city that thrones
(sits) among the seven kings, and it is a lighthouse for all nations. It will
be destroyed upon God's decision.
2) Free interpretation
The most difficult sentence to understand
is:
"5 are fallen " (among the 7 kings).
The word "fallen" usually stands for "defeated"
which suggests the meaning of "past". But many indications in Revelations
point towards the fact that it signifies just the opposite, that is: "fallen
from the sky", "revealed to humans" and "manifested". For some theologians,
"fallen" refers to the descent into the space-time dimension and consciousness.

(fall) on earth to be manifested among humans after fighting.Michael in the

With this in mind, the Revelations extract
starts to make sense:
The five "fallen" kings (manifested) stand
for five countries that were known to the world when John wrote Revelations:
European nations and Japan. The time of the writing is not precisely known
and this hypothesis assumes that it was in the third century, which
is when Japan's first dynasty appeared. The two remaining nations to be revealed
were the USA and Canada. The eighth is potentially the USSR that became Russia
again after 73 years of communism. But the information given by Nostradamus
undoubtedly points to China. So an ambiguity remains over the eighth king.
By referring to the seven-hills city where
dwell the seven kings, Saint John states that seven among the eight are Christians.
This coincides with the G8 situation, Japan being the one that is not Christian.
It is said of the ten others that they have
not yet received kingship. This was true of Muslim countries at the time of
the writing since Muhammad started preaching in year 622. Nostradamus gives
precious indications to enable the ten's identification. They undoubtedly
are related to Islam.
The ten kings would represent ten Muslim
nations allied to a strong and powerful country that has conflicting interests
with the USA. Nostradamus sees them located on ancient Persian empire (at
the time of Darios and Cyrus II). This matches Iraq, some Persian Gulf countries,
Turkey, Iran and Pakistan - a nightmare region for the USA.
Alternatively, the ten founders of the Arabic
league in 1945 were: Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Iraq,
Kuwait, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and Yemen. Ten other members joined in later:
Libya (1953), Sudan (1956), Morocco and Tunisia (1958), Algeria (1962), Oman
and Qatar (1971), Mauritania (1973), Somalia (1976) and Djibouti (1977). The
Palestinian Liberation Organization also became a member in 1976.
But it is hardly conceivable that any country
would start an upfront war against the West. Nostradamus states that right
from the start of the conflict, Egypt will shock the world with what could
be an Islamic revolution. He also states that the conflict will evolve "from,
to and through" ancient Persia (LH101, V-025, II-076, II-096).
The seven hills indication could have meant
that the "woman" was Rome. But the city amazes with its wealth and power over
all nations. So, it cannot be today's Rome. New York and Washington fit the
description better. And New York would be the best match because it is considered
to be the world's lighthouse. And it has kingship on earth by housing the
United Nations. It also symbolizes what some religious people consider to
be decadence.
As for the eighth king, the beast, shortly
after being admitted into the G7 that becomes G8, it would retrieve and engage
into a war against the 7. It could well be Russia. But it should be remembered
that Nostradamus points to China as the country of the antichrist (too long
a story to build here - must refer to the article
"The Antichrist").
There could be two distinct phases during the conflict: One would start with Russia and
Islamic countries, while the second would continue with China and the Antichrist.
V-073
Persecutee sera de Dieu l'Eglise,
Et les saincts Temples seront expoliez,
L'enfant la mere mettra nud en chemise,
Seront Arabes aux Pollons ralliez.
Translation [interpretation]:
The church of God will be persecuted,
And the saint temples will be damaged [kicked
out]
The mother will put the child naked in a
shirt [stands for a humiliating treatment with regard to religion]
Arabs will be allied to Pollons [sounds like "Russian"].
Times of disasters
"The bright spark will be visible from Lyon",
writes the prophet in quatrain VIII-06, so it must be evening or night. He
confirms this by mentioning that a "Bright torch will be seen in the evening
sky" (II-096). He also states that the events will take place far from New
Year's Eve (XII-069), and that huge fires will devastate the South of France
at the end of Cancer (V-098). It definitely fires up during an evening in
summer.
The season and major places are revealed,
but the year is not. "Only the father knows these times" state both Marc and
Mathew in the Bible (NT 13.32 and 24.36). Humans can't count the time, but
signs that announce the events can be observed.
The most obvious sign will be the earthquakes
in April and May referred to in quatrains: I-046, II-052, VI-088, VIII-016,
VIII-029, VIII-045, IX-031, IX-083, IX-084, X-060, X-64 and X-067. A new pope
will be nominated on the day of the shaking (III-65). A major archeological finding will take
place after the tremor (article "
Trojan and doomsday"). There are sufficient indications not
to be surprised when it all unfolds.
The Bible seems to be even more precise:
Revelations 20.2 to 20.5 (first, a period of 1000
years):
2:
And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
3:
And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon
him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years
should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.
4:
And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them:
and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus,
and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither
his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their
hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
5:
But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished.
This is the first resurrection.
Revelations 20.6 to 20.8 (a second period of 1000 years)
6:
Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such
the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of
Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
7:
And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his
prison,
8:
And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of
the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number
of whom is as the sand of the sea.
Reading attentively, two periods of 1000
years are listed. This is the only instance in Revelations when the same event
is repeated twice in the same chapter. Surely there is a reason. It could
be explained if Saint John meant to write: 2 x 1000 = year 2000. The dragon
is freed at regular 1000 years intervals. After his second release, there
begins a 1260 days countdown. This corresponds to either 3.5 years or 3 years
5 months and 15 days, depending on whether oriental astrology, which had 360
days, was used.
During the 1260 days, the two God's witnesses
prophesize floods and droughts:
Revelations 11.3 (King James)
3: And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall
prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.
Revelations 11.6 and 11.7 (King James)
6:
These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy:
and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth
with all plagues, as often as they will.
7:
And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth
out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome
them, and kill them.
When they are finished, the beast defeats
them and the conflict begins.
In summary, the dragon was freed 2 or 3 years
ago after a 2000 years captivity. It will defeat the two prophets 3 and a
half years later. It will also attack a "pregnant woman" who can stand for
the church, a city, the mother of reborn Christ or all three of them. Then,
the war will break out nearby July 1st 2003 (or 2004 since year
1 is 0).
Nostradamus predicted the conflict to last
27 years and to cause tremendous sufferings.
VIII-077
L'antechrist trois bien tost annichilez,
Vingt & sept ans sang durera sa guerre:

The antichrist three [third] early defeated,
Twenty & seven bloody years will last his war:
The heretics [non Christians] dead, prisoners exiled,
Human corpse [bodies] blood water tinted red hailing earth [ground]
But the curse will not stop until humans stop blaspheming :

And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the
weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the
hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.
