Constitution of Nostradamia

Nostradamia is accessible to everyone and the site is set up around propositions clustered into themes called "Times and Regions. The Citizens make up their propositions freely.

Nostradamia welcomes three types of Citizens with distinctions based on promotion and merit. Each benefits with specific privileges in different communicating spaces: 

• The Tribunes have access to the forum, dictionary, public articles and quatrains,
• The Senators are promoted Tribunes sieging on top of the forum with acess to special functions,
• The Wise are philosophers that bring an accepted wisdom to Nostradamia. They preside over the Centurial Commissions.

Also, the First Pontiff administers the place and the general population referred to as the Plebs prefer to watch the debates but not to participate.

The standard language is either French or English. Citizens should try to summarize their writings in the other language using the dedicated areas. This will ensure that their thoughts will shine everywhere there is a sunrise in Nostradamia. There are as many interested people in the Centuries in the USA, UK, Italy, Spain and Canada. as in France. Spanish Times and Regions will start shortly.

Citizens Forum

Access to the Forum requires a simple formality that takes less than a minute. Depending on current options, you may be required to answer four questions before entering, or to pick an identifier and a password and then confirm by clicking on the link sent to your e-mail address. This registration grants citizenship with the rank of a Tribune.

There are no Times and Regions borders in Nostradamia, so foreigners have free access to citizenship - and this has been so ever since the year 2030. This date corresponds to the Universal Declaration of People's Rights (not just individuals) that was ratified by all free nations and minorities shortly after the end of the Great Conflict that embraced all of humanity.

Tribunes contributions are sometimes posted the next day. This all depends on the athmosphere on the forum. However, it is not the rule, and Nostradamia is a democratic website. So there is no censorship. The sole restriction made is to deal with the core subjects and to maintain a respectful language.

Submit an article

Access to the article submission space is free for all citizens. Whether Nostradamia detects a citizen or a member of the Plebs, a different environment is proposed. Mails and attached documents should be Word 2000+, Lotus WordPro and WordPad compatible.

Any Citizen can propose that a new Time and Region be added providing his contribution does not fit into an already defined one. The Centurial Commissions determine if the request is receivable.

Senators Assembly

The assembly is made out of former Tribunes promoted to the rank of Senators. They achieved this immediately after writing an article or after a short time activity in the forum. This filter aims to protect Nostradamia from outside subversive attacks. But it's not foolproof and Citizen should report any deviance to the First Pontiff.

Senators are privileged Citizens who siege in the senate. Their contributions are posted in real time. They participate to the electoral debates and have free access to the voting poll. And they can participate to the Centurial Commissions works under the leadership of a Wise.

These notables are the essence of the Nostradamia democratic system.

Centurial Commissions

Before all, the commissions remain attentive and watch.

They study the senate's writing activity and select the outstanding articles to be posted in the Holy of Holies. This consists in the Region where the most pertinent and popular writings go. The selection is made by a majority vote. Members may also discuss spelling, grammar and structure to fit the texts into Shakespeare and Molière's tongue. But whatever corrections are made, the full credit remains with the author.

There is one commission for each Time and Region of Nostradamia and each commission is presided by a Wise who is a distinguished honorable Senator, well known for his pertinent contributions, the quality of his writings and his ability to convince his peers. Politics play an important role here.

The Commissions self-manage themselves and there is no defined time for mandates. But a simple majority can revoke one of its members. The Wise have a full immunity, except in front of the First Pontiff. But even him remains under the control of the senate's majority.

Code of honor

There are no more slaves or inferior people in Nostradamia since the year 2030. Therefore, everyone should respect his neighbor and deal only with Nostradamia subjects.

Racist texts, insults, pornographic material, prostitution, selling and sectarian delirium are strictly prohibited in the land of Nostradamia. Internet links in articles and the forum are systematically checked. To not comply with the rules causes the immediate revocation of citizenship.

Holy of holies

The Centurial Commissions place outstanding articles in the Holy of Holies. The criteria for selection is pertinence and popularity.

The Time and Region of The Oracles is the place for Citizen's premonitions. Predictions that have come out to be true are posted in the Holy of Holies.

Purpose and goals

The goal of Nostradamia is to explain each of the Centuries 1000 quatrains. It is also to understand and explain other prophecies as well as to provide a place for leisure to those who share the same interest.

Nostradamia is a non-profit and non-commercial website not affiliated to any organization of any type. Publicity is kept to a minimum and it serves only to finance operations. It is exclusively reserved for ethical sponsors. Should any profit result from it, the amounts would go to a charitable organization that has a recognized status of public utility to fight hunger in developing countries.

The material and links to the other websites are verified to comply with French and US laws as well as the Code of Honor. Any deviance should be reported to the First Pontiff  through the confessional. Nostradamia declines any responsibility should an article posted by a citizen violate some copyright law. Prohibited material should be signaled by e-mail to the First Pontiff for prompt action to be taken.

By contributing to the forum and submitting articles, the Citizens of Nostradamia explicitly accept to be published in Nostradamia. They can rest assured that no other use of their texts is made.
